The Corporate Dad – Timelines & Toddler Time

The Corporate Dad about page image

It has been quite some time since I updated my LinkedIn bio as ‘Devyani’s Dad’. Some people noticed and were curious, and my response was – This is now my full-time job and to ensure I do well on this I am working 45 hrs / week with a corporate to earn.

And recently we were blessed with our second daughter Nayna, who is a teaching me how to manage multiple stakeholders.

This journey of fatherhood has been incredibly enriching, bringing with it a full spectrum of responsibilities. Balancing the roles of a dedicated father and a committed corporate professional presents significant challenges, yet I value and prioritise this equilibrium. Each side, although different, offers its own set of valuable lessons. My journey as a father has taught me patience, empathy, and unconditional love, while my professional career has honed my skills in leadership, problem-solving, and resilience.

Today holds special significance for me as it marks 19 years since I first stepped into the corporate world on 11th July 2006. It has been a journey worth remembering, filled with growth, learning, and wonderful experiences.
Each role—father and professional—comes with its own set of lessons and challenges, moving forward, I plan to share more about my journey as it evolves. The intersection of parenthood and professional life is a fascinating space, and I hope that by sharing my experiences, I can offer insights and perhaps even inspiration to others navigating similar paths.
